My studio is located in the beautiful coastal town of Lakes Entrance in Victoria, where I live with my husband and two children. Since childhood, my art has revolved around feminine themes and is an ever-evolving celebration of the strength, beauty and resilience of women. As a child, I found joy writing stories about courageous heroines, then illustrating them in detail. In more recent years, my paintings have become a form of journaling for me, a way to encapsulate and process my own life experiences as an adult woman. Vivid colour and the female form are central to my work, with a gentle dose of personal meaning embedded in each piece, usually via objects. My process, although incredibly free, unscripted and intuitive, involves considerable layering, so I work predominantly with acrylics due to their flexibility and quick drying time. I have been fortunate enough to showcase and sell my work in a number of small exhibitions at the beautiful local gallery, The Saltwater Creative Co in Lakes Entrance, Victoria. I am also a Primary School Teacher, Art Teacher (Adult Painting Workshops) cosmetic tattooist and shameless Prince fan.
